Profile | Ethics
In all that we do, SOURCEBYNET strives to protect the environment, improve working conditions and ensure fair treatment and respect for individuals based on their beliefs, history and culture.
SOURCEBYNET has adopted Article 32.1 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Children, and does not accept the use of child labour nor any form of forced labour.
SOURCEBYNET does not allow the use of any wood species that are considered endangered in the manufacture of its finished products. Nor does the company accept the use of raw materials from sources where harvesting those raw materials could have a negative impact on the local population.
Our customers expect us to be an ethical as well as an efficient business partner, and these ethical standards are equally important to the company and its own staff members. We adopt these standards as a minimum code of practice in all our work.
If customers have even higher standards, we work to achieve those standards.
Compliance with our values and principles is a minimum condition for a company to be accepted as a supplier. We evaluate all new suppliers initially, suggest any required improvements and re-evaluate regularly thereafter. We encourage evaluations by third parties. We advise and help our suppliers to find ways to reduce the environmental impact of their production processes and to improve the working conditions of their labour force.
SOURCEBYNET conscientiously keeps abreast with the development of standards in this area, and regularly audits factories for ethical compliance.
